🍂 What a wonderful way to welcome Samhain! 🍂

This week, we were delighted to welcome expert Mary Barry, Heritage in Schools to our school for a fantastic hands-on workshop with Rang 5 & 6.

The children explored the origins of Samhain and Celtic traditions, learned about foraging and identifying native bushes and plants in our local environment, and even got hands-on with some delicious blackberry jam making! 🫐

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly getting to taste the homemade jam! 😋

The workshop offered the children a wonderful opportunity to explore, appreciate and connect with Ireland’s rich natural and cultural heritage. 🍂 🌿
