Senior Infants invited their parents and grandparents to launch their book ‘Farmer Joey’s Farm’ on Friday the 14th of June. Conn was chosen as one of the winners for the competition ‘My Creative Wish’, which is run by Cork County Council. He won 6 workshops for all his class.  His wish was to write a book about the farm and farm animals. The class  spent the last 5 weeks working hard on this book along with the help of Laura O’ Mahony who was facilitating this workshop. They really got to express their imagination and creativity when they talked about the animals and characters in the book. Each week the class got to write about everything they discussed and drew images also. Laura used all the ideas the children had talked about in each workshop and typed up the story. The children’s drawings feature throughout the book also and tell the story of Farmer Joey’s Farm. Well done to all involved!
